Young Researcher Innovator Forum
What is the YRIF?
The Young Researchers and Innovators Forum (YRIF) is a community that brings together all researchers involved in the DIGI-net COST Action who identify as early-career researchers or innovators. This includes individuals under the age of 40 and those who consider themselves to be in the early stages of their research careers.
The YRIF is a dynamic networking platform, fostering valuable connections and collaborations among young members and facilitating mentorship between YRIs and senior researchers.
What are the high-level goals/plans?
- foster a vibrant environment for connection, collaboration, networking, learning, knowledge sharing
- support growth and skills development of YRIs
- increase the visibility of YRIs and their work within DIGI-net

Mariia Balytska

Mariia Balytska is an early-career researcher who has accumulated over 5 years of experience in teaching and research. After defending her thesis, she focused her scientific research on digitization, households` well-being, and aging. She aims to show that digital transformation leads, despite a lot of benefits, to additional barriers and societal imbalance.

Mihael Nedeljko

Alma Mater Europaea ECM
Mihael Nedeljko recently defended his doctoral dissertation in Social Gerontology at Alma Mater Europaea University, Slovenia. His research field focuses on the aging of sexual and gender minorities and the use of information and communication technologies among older adults. He leads the Silver Rainbow program, which aims to enhance the quality of life for LGBTQ+ older adults.
