We are happy to inform you that Management Committee (MC) meeting III and opening conference of COST Action 21107 “Work inequalities in later life redefined by digitalization” DIGI-net was held in Nicosia, Cyprus, at Frederick University Cyprus . During the meeting, 55 participants reconnected and discussed strategies for achieving Action’s goals, received updates on COST activities and presented their new publications and projects.

Management Committee Meeting III
The MC meeting was held on September 7th. Dr. Petroula Mavrikiou and Dr. Martina Rasticova opened it by welcoming the participants. Prof. Dr. Petroula Mavrikiou informed the MC about Action Membership: COST Members represented in the MC, Action Participation: WG membership and applications, New MC members/Observers, COST Excellence and Inclusiveness Policy. Mrs. Iris Finger provided valuable insights on the project budget.
Prof. Dr. Daniela Soitu presented information about the grants: STSM, ITC conference, dissemination conference and virtual mobilities. Completed grant beneficiaries Sergio Barbosa, Milica Velickovic and Danijela Voza presented the report of their grants. Dr. Jim Ogg reported on the current state of the training school.
Dr. Martina Rasticova and Dr. Ondrej Pavelek presented the main results of the Prague policy workshop. Prof. Dr. Nataliia Versal reported MC members about the website and conferences, publication opportunities etc. Prof. Dr. Clary Krekula, Dr. Martina Rasticova, Prof. Dr. Daniela Soitu presented the current state of the joint book. At the end of the MC meeting, Dr. Martina Rasticova mentioned upcoming conferences and publication opportunities.
Opening conference
The opening conference was held On September 8th. Dr. Martina Rasticova and Prof. Dr. Clary Krekula welcomed the participants. Natassa Frederickou, President of the University Council opened the conference with the conference paper: A Changing Composition of Student Body Facing an Uncertain and Complex Future: The Role of Higher Education. Dr. Nikleia Eteokleous opened the conference with the conference paper: Distance & Blended Learning at Frederick University: Did Faculty Members Resist or Adjust?
First keynote speaker Andreas Charalambous presented the conference paper: Information Communication Technologies (ICT) Usage in Households and by Individuals in Cyprus. Keynote speaker Dr. Matt Flynn presented the conference paper: New technology and older jobseekers: a bridge to sustainable third age employment.
Working group leaders and members presented conference papers on different topics. At the end of the conference, there were interesting panel discussions on various topics of the project.
We are thrilled to see such productive and engaging discussions among our MC members and look forward to seeing the outcomes of these initiatives.
