Reprogramming Employability: Self-Efficacy and Work Ability as Recursive Codes in Aging Workforce Systems

At the Luhmann Conference 2025 in Cambridge (9–12 September 2025), Eva Šerá presented Reprogramming Employability: Self‑Efficacy and Work Ability as Recursive Codes in Aging Workforce Systems. Building on her 2024 contribution, the paper expanded the theoretical model by reframing employability as a recursive, paradox‑producing code. Feedback from participants helped refine the manuscript later submitted to the European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology. The presentation strengthened links between systems theory and applied labour research, opened publication opportunities in several high‑impact journals, and generated new academic contacts for potential collaborations and cross‑national research initiatives within the DIGI‑net community.
